Q: Is my data backed up?
A: Yes!  Your data is backed up at a minimum monthly, but depending on the plan you select we back it up more frequently.  The great thing about Our Company Brain dokuwiki platform is previous versions are restorable, so it is really hard to permanently delete anything.

Q: Is my data secure?
A: Absolutely!  We use intrusion prevention software and encryption technology that authenticates the access of your site and protects the privacy and integrity of the exchanged data while in transit and prevents any attempts to breach the system’s security.  

Our Company Brain is stored on Amazon AWS servers, which are built to satisfy the security requirements for the military, global banks, and other high-sensitivity organizations. Your database and data files are stored on your own network share.

You have complete control over who can access your data since you handle the usernames and passwords.  We always suggest you require secure passwords that include special characters, numbers, and both upper and lower case letters for your employees.

Q: Who else has access to my data?  
A: You have complete control over who can access your data since you handle adding and removing users.  We have an Admin user required to initially set up your Our Company Brain, handle updates, installations, and integrations an IT department does, and upload new feature training videos and content on your behalf.  However, after the initial setup, if you do not want further support you have the ability to disable our Admin account preventing us from having access as well. 

Q: What happens to my data if I cancel? 
A: You will have 60 days after the end of the period you have paid for before we permanently purge it to protect your data and no longer pay for the secure storage space on Amazon’s cloud servers.

Q: Do I need to install any software?
No.  Our Company Brain is completely web-based, so all your information is accessible from any internet-enabled device.

Q: Do you have a free trial? 
A: No, but you are not bound by a contract either.  We put in the hard work upfront to set up a customized product you and your employees can begin immediately using with all the necessary tutorials, templates, and libraries.  We encourage you to watch our introduction videos and feel confident with our customization, pricing, and unlimited users we are a good fit for nearly any type of business, and especially when you need to maximize every dollar, the ROI makes it well worth it for any size company’s budget.

Q: How long does it take to sign up?
A: Using our online portal it will only take a few minutes for you to sign up and provide the information we need to begin immediately setting up your custom Our Company Brain.  Once it is ready, typically within the same day, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log in to your site and navigate to our user-friendly “Getting Started” training videos.

Q: What will the URL of my website be?
A:  The website will begin with the company name or site name you request during the signup process, which will be followed by .ourcompanybrain.com.  As an example, say your business name is ABC Sprockets.  Your website would be https://abcsprockets.ourcompanybrain.com

Q: I already have procedures, manuals, and documents.  Can you help me transfer them into my Our Company Brain? 
A: Yes we can!  As an optional service, we can handle the workload of transferring your existing information into your brain.  Learn more about our Document Conversion plans.

Q: What is the advantage of choosing you over creating my own Dokuwiki site?
A:  Why go to medical school yourself when you can pay a small fee to see a doctor who not only went to medical school already, but has years of invaluable real-world experience.  

When we create your site you instantly benefit from the years of knowledge and experience we invested from both a business and IT perspective, so you already have useful plug-ins and extensions installed and running, a user-friendly and intuitive structure, numerous templates, navigation buttons, training videos specific to what you and your employees need to know categorized and organized for on-demand self-guided instruction for an admin or end-user.  

You also do not have to worry about hosting or backing up your site, and we monitor all servers, are alerted 24×7 to technical issues, and continue to make improvements as new technology, plug-ins, and apps are useful.  In addition, you benefit from the research and development we do based on feedback from all our customers.  Depending on the plan you select, we also support you directly with questions or issues you may have and offer document conversion to assist you in getting and keeping your brain current. 

Q: Can employees access Our Company Brain from outside our building?
A: Absolutely!  When you set up an end user’s access, they can sign in from any internet-enabled device anywhere in the world! 

Q: Do you offer support?
A: Yes!  On-demand training videos are always available, and some of our plans include email and/or live chat support. 

Q: Do you offer after-hours support?
A: Absolutely!  We are here to support you all day, every day, except for Sundays and Federal Holidays.  The fastest way to get support is to send an email and anyone available at that moment can quickly assist you.   

Q: Is ourcompanybrain.com something I can set up for my customers instead of my staff?
A: Certainly!  The possibilities really are endless.  You can set up different “spaces” in your brain and then you control what a user or user group is permitted or restricted to access and or edit.  It does add to the complexity of your site, so we have some best practices you will want to review to avoid unnecessary vulnerabilities.  In the end, it is your custom Our Company Brain, so you can set it up and use it however you like. 

Q: How are users set up? 
A:  You, or an individual you set up as an Admin, can quickly add or delete as many users as you want!  You can assign the password, have it auto-generated or request a password from us to ensure it is complex enough to be secure.  We always suggest you require secure passwords that include special characters, numbers, and both upper and lower case letters for your employees.  

Payment FAQ

Q: Is my payment secure?
A: All transactions are handled by ippay.com with secure electronic transmissions and your payment information is secure and protected since only you can access your account information.  No one in Our Company Brain or parent company, Benson Communications, has access to your payment information.

Q: What name appears on my credit card statement?
A: Our parent company Benson Communications Inc will show up on your credit card statement.

Q: What happens if I want to cancel?
A: While we would hate to lose you as a customer, we understand circumstances change in all organizations.  Simply go to cancel-my-account.com to submit your request.  You will receive a registration email to confirm your identity before the cancellation is processed. 

Q: What happens if my payment is declined, will I lose my site?
A:  No.  You will receive an email and a phone call stating you have a declined payment.  We always have a grace period and understand how much work it is to update everything when credit card companies change your number.

If the issue with the payment has not been resolved within 30 days your account will be temporarily suspended, and you will not be able to access your Our Company Brain.  We hope it would never happen, but should we have not received payment after 60 days your brain, along with all the data and work you put into it, will be deleted.  If you’re having problems please reach out to us beforehand.
